About Bird and Baby
The Bird and Baby Theatre Company:
The Bird and Baby Theatre Company is a
new theatre troupe in the west suburbs of Chicago. The name is derived
from the pub-house backroom meeting place of a group of British writers
who came to be known as The Inklings; among whom were, C.S. Lewis and
J.R.R Tolkien. The Bird and Baby Theatre Company commits to producing
at least one play in each theatre season written by or inspired by one
of the Inkling authors. The company also is committed to producing
plays and musicals that are accommodating to family audiences and that
celebrate the strength of the written word and the joy of bringing
words to life by talented artists.
Bird and Baby Youth Theatre:
The
Bird and Baby Theatre Company also puts on several youth camp
productions during the year. Kids from six to sixteen have come together
for performances of 'Anne of Green Gables', 'The Hobbit', 'The Lion,
the Witch, and the Wardrobe' and others. Bird and Baby Youth Theatre
strives to produce excellent childrens theatre while providing a
positive, encouraging Christian atmosphere in which young actors can
learn new skills and develop their talents as actors, dancers and
singers.
